About Somford
We are a National Non-Profit Organization established in 2016 by a group of Somali professionals from different professional background to serve the community in terms of Livelihood, Education, Health, Protection, Wash, Livestock, Agriculture, Youth Empowerment and environment promotion activities to build a good socially responsible society.
Our History
SOMFORD was established in 2016 by a group of Somali professionals from different professional background to serve the community in terms of Livelihood, Education, Health, Protection, Wash, Livestock, Agriculture, Youth Empowerment and environment promotion activities to build a good socially responsible society. It aimed to look for the development of the poor and IDP communities in Somalia and empower them towards their sustainability.
Our goal is to contribute in improving the living standard of the vulnerable communities of Somalia through livelihood, protection education community mobilization, capacity building, and advocacy at the grass root level.
SOMFORD sustainable strategy is devised to achieve the maximum, a need based and right based approach initiated ascertains the problem with fully community involvement and mobilizing all indigenous and local resources. The program goal are materialized with a helping hand from members donor agencies
SOMFORD is governed by a board of directors. Our operations are spearheaded by a management team led by the executive director while our branch offices are led by field managers.
