SOMFORD
We are a National Non-Profit Organization established in 2016 by a group of Somali professionals from different professional background to serve the community in terms of Livelihood, Education, Health, Protection, Wash, Livestock, Agriculture, Youth Empowerment and environment promotion activities to build a good socially responsible society.
Education
Education is a fundamental human right for all individuals, particularly those children and youth affected by humanitarian crisis that disrupts access to quality education.
Protection
Protection is an umbrella term for all activities which centre on the promotion and protection of the full rights of the individual in accordance with international humanitarian law and human rights law.
Food Security and Livelihoods
Right to food and right to livelihood are fundamental human rights as enshrined by International law. Ensuring all individuals have adequate access to food and opportunities to break the cycle of poverty and food insecurity, through sustainable agriculture, production and distribution is a cornerstone of humanitarian aid.
OUR STORY
The Somford Foundation for Aid and Development (SOMFORD ) is an international NGO that provides humanitarian assistance to Somali refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). It was founded in 2016 as a group of Somalia distributing relief aid .
